ACTIVITY 11.  WHAT WERE YOU DOING?

Atiende a los ejemplos que se proporcionan de forma oral sobre el pasado continuo (yesterday at six o´clock, I was sleeping.  Yesterday at 5:00 p.m I was watching T.V.).

 Escribelos.

Investiga la forma  gramatical del pasado continuo en sus formas afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa y muestralos en un esquema.

Subraya en el texto anterior la estructura gramatical del pasado  continuo.

Pregunta a tus compañeros acerca de lo que hicieron ayer en determinado momento del día y anota las respuestas.

Complete una tabla con las respuestas obtenidas.

Presenta de manera oral al grupo la información que obtuviste de la actividad anterior.

Observa un dibujo de una fiesta y redacta un texto sobre las actividades  que estuvieron realizando las personas ahí presentes.

Delibera sobre la importancia del pasado continuo en el proceso de comunicación.

Anote las conclusiones.

 

Ejemplos oraciones pasado continuo ingles

El pasado continuo o pasado progresivo (past continuous tense) se forma escribiendo el verbo to be que corresponde a cada sujeto en pasado simple (was y were) y el verbo principal con la terminación -ing, esta terminación corresponde al gerundio en español. I was working (Yo estaba trabajando), You were working (Tú estabas trabajando), He was working (Él estaba trabajando), She was working (Ella estaba trabajando), It was working (Eso estaba trabajando), You were working (Usted estaba trabajando), We were working (Nosotros estabamos trabajando) y They were working (Ellos estaban trabajando). El pasado continuo describe una situación que estaba sucediendo en el momento en que sucedía otra.

La estructura del pasado continuo en forma afirmativa es:

Sujeto + pasado de "to be" + verbo en forma -ing.

DEFINICIÓN DE PASADO CONTINUO
 Past Continuous - (Past )

Continuous Past, IS A tense to describe actions that were being performed at a time in the past referred to and then continued , for example :

Yesterday I was studying English . Yesterday he was studying English.

(Start one of study before that time and continued studying later )

 

John was playing tennis at 10 a.m. John was playing tennis one 10 a.m.

( Started playing tennis the before 10 a.m. and continued to do so after )

 

The Past Continuous is constructed with the auxiliary verb "to be " on the way past and the main verb in the infinitive with the ending ING :

CONCLUSIÓN :

 

Continued past is important to know how it will Structured From the verb to completion in Past and thus with them the answer of this issue is the structure question.
